My name is Sonia, I am 32 years old and I am from the Province of Genoa. I am an amateur photographer, but my desire is to become a professional photographer.

I have known about the Venice Carnival since I was little. I remember that in elementary school I wrote an essay on the Venice Carnival. In my opinion, the Venice Carnival is a magical atmosphere, a step back in time. It is definitely highly recommended for those who have never seen it. But not only Piazza San Marco, but also the internal alleys are interesting, special. Not to mention the ancient places, like the "Florian", which has a historical atmosphere inside and I must say it is wonderful to photograph the masks inside the place.

Some masks who had their picture taken recognized themselves on my Instagram page, and I sent them the photos. This is already a satisfaction for me. This is the second year this has happened to me, and I'm happy about it. Since I am a passionate photographer, I have several photography books that I take inspiration from. Like every year I come to Venice in search of an interesting shot. Among my favorite photographic genres in fact: street photography and portraits.
